Graphic Matters in Breda (NL)
Last week, we went up north to Breda in the Netherlands to finally discover the biennal festival about graphic design: Graphic Matters.
It's taking place in the Stokvishallen in Breda, which we didn't know from our two bicycle holidays which took up there. There is a lot happening at the festival and we unfortunately only got the possibility to see the exhibitions (no conference or workshop). But that was already awesome!
My favorite exhibitions were:
'Dear Data' — a collection of 104 postcards hand-drawn postcards made by designers Stefanie Posavec & Giorgia Lupi, two friends sending each other postcards with colorful, hand-drawn data visualizations.
And the huge 'Information Superpower' — From visual statistics to interactive data visualisations; designers use their superpowers to shape our world.
Time is running and you only have until Sunday to make it before the end!
